If you want dinner with a view in Istanbul’s Old City, Mimar Sinan Roof is a rooftop restaurant on Fetva Yokuşu, a few minutes from the Süleymaniye Mosque. The terrace looks over the Golden Horn, the Galata Tower on the far shore, and the mouth of the Bosphorus. The menu covers kebabs, fish and meat dishes, pizza and pide, and desserts. As of October 2026, main courses run from about ₺890 to ₺1,560. Tables are booked on WhatsApp: +90 530 911 14 00.
Why dinner in Süleymaniye feels different
Süleymaniye sits on one of the highest hills of the Historic Peninsula. In the evening you can see the Galata Tower and the Beyoğlu skyline across the Golden Horn from this height. The restaurant is on the roof, so the view comes with the table; you do not need to find a separate viewpoint.
It is also a short walk from Sultanahmet but away from its crowds. The same terrace hosts an evening whirling dervish (sema) performance; see our guide to the whirling dervish show in Süleymaniye.
